A Crofton man was arrested on drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop on East Center Street in Madisonville Thursday afternoon.
Madisonville Police say 37-year-old William Cook was stopped for a moving violation and found to have a glass pipe in his floorboard. During the stop, a police K9 alerted on the vehicle. Police say they found four pounds of suspected meth, a 9mm handgun, and a large amount of money in his SUV.
The drugs have a street value of $200,000.
Cook is charged with trafficking meth, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, careless driving, possession of marijuana, and giving an officer false identifying information.
