Trigg County Public Schools is asking for the community’s assistance in choosing the 2021-2022 school year calendar.
During the board of education meeting Thursday night, Director of Personnel and Student Services James Mangels said the calendar committee had created two potential calendars.
Mangels added the first calendar option included a full week of fall break.
The second calendar option features starting school later, a shorter fall break, and the scheduled last day of classes one day later.
Mangels said as of Thursday afternoon, they had over 440 responses, with the vote nearly 70-percent in favor of option one.
The last chance to get a vote in is the close of business Monday. Students, parents, staff members, and community members able to voice their opinion in the survey. A link to the survey can be found here.
The option that receives the most votes will be forwarded to the board for full consideration.
