A Cadiz couple was arrested in the parking lot of a Princeton grocery store Thursday during an investigation into drug trafficking.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m., Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison reports officers assisted the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force with the drug investigation where they made contact with 36-year old Tiffany Tyler Herndon and 30-year old Nicholas Herndon in the parking lot at Food Giant. He says the investigation revealed the couple was trafficking methamphetamine. Detectives reportedly seized approximately 20 grams of meth and a small quantity of synthetic marijuana.
Assistant Chief Allison says the couple was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Caldwell County Jail. Both subjects were charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Tiffany Herndon was also charged with possession of synthetic drugs and served a Christian County Bench Warrant charging her with failure to appear. Nicholas Herndon is facing additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, operating on a suspended license, no registration plate, and no insurance – second offense.
