A Hopkinsville man was arrested during a burglary on Eagle Way Thursday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to Living Hope Baptist Church for a burglary in progress.
As they arrived, 33-year-old Shawn Gilkey was reportedly seen coming out of a side door.
Deputies say Gilkey entered the building through a basement door and took three tablets from the church. He reportedly gave deputies his brother’s name and date of birth claiming it was his.
Gilkey is charged with second-degree burglary and giving officers false identifying information.
