Trigg County Hospital will receive more COVID-19 vaccine to administer.
Hospital CEO John Sumner said he was notified about the vaccine Friday by Public Health Commissioner Dr. Steven Stack. He says the hospital will receive between 200 and 300 doses per week, with the amount the hospital receives to be determined by the amount of vaccine the state receives. Sumner says they expect to learn more information Monday about what group they can administer the vaccine to.
Sumner says the hospital has not been designated as a regional vaccine site. He is hoping the hospital will be designated as a regional site in the future.
