Even though Trigg County Public School students have not been in the classroom for the last week and a half, school officials are excited none of the days will have to be made up.
Superintendent Bill Thorpe tells the News Edge NTI instruction has gone well with the winter weather impacting the region. Thorpe adds the break may continue to drive down the current COVID-19 case numbers.
Trigg County teachers and staff received their second round of COVID-19 vaccines Wednesday.
He adds with not having to keep students any later because of missed school days; many projects can get done this summer.
Thorpe says the elementary school renovation project has been slowed a little bit because of the winter precipitation.
