The number of active COVID-19 cases in Christian County is the fewest in seven months according to information released by the health department Wednesday.
The 122 active cases represent the fewest in the county since July 11. The number of people infected in the 22 to 59 age group dipped below 100 for the first time since October 12, while the 17 people 60 and older with COVID-19 was the fewest since July 10.
Christian County has been out of the red on the state’s COVID-19 incidence rate chart for 12 straight days which is the first time since the formula was created by the state in September.
