The man charged with killing Thelma Illene Barnett in September has been indicted on a murder charge by the Trigg County Grand Jury.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Carrie Ovey-Wiggins told the News Edge Thursday the grand jury found sufficient evidence to return the indictment against 42-year-old Jonathon McCoy of Gracey.
McCoy is accused of killing Barnett and setting fire to her Will Jackson Road home in September 2020.
