Christian County has announced two more deaths linked to the COVID-19 virus raising it's death toll to 85 with the one-year anniversary of the county's first death approaching.
The health department said the 73-year-old male and 75-year-old male both had underlying health conditions in addition to having COVID. Spokesman Amanda Sweeney Brunt said neither death was part of a backlog of cases that were announced last week and occurred recently.
31-percent of Christian County's COVID-related deaths have involved people 80 to 89 while 28-percent are between 70 and 79.
Nearly 10-percent of Christian County's population is over the age of 60 with 93-percent of the county's COVID-related deaths falling into that age demographic.
