A burglary investigation at Moon River Marina led to charges being filed against a Cadiz man by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office.
38-year-old Brian K. Bourland was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Sheriff Aaron Acree and charged with second-degree burglary; possession of a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Acree said he was called to the Rockcastle Road business and reviewed surveillance video that showed Bourland use a broomstick to alter to camera angle. The business owner told Acree that Bourland was staying on the property without an agreement.
The investigation determined a key to a change machine was missing and several hundred dollars was taken from a laundry room.
Acree said he located Bourland hiding in the bathroom of the room where his girlfriend was staying at Moon River. The sheriff said a glass pipe and methamphetamine were visible on a table in which Bourland claimed ownership.
