The Hoptown Half and 5K committee recently donated to the Hopkinsville Challenge House Movement.
Officials said during the check presentation, $14,050 was given to the organization. They add the proceeds were from the 2nd annual dual road race in 2020.
The Challenge House Movement is an inner-city program that strives to teach children how to love thy neighbor.
During its first two years, the Hoptown Half and 5K has raised over $28,000 for local charities, and the group looks forward to a repeat performance in 2021.
Registration for the 3rd annual Hoptown Half and 5K, which includes a return of Wally’s Walkers One-Miler, named for Challenge House founder Wally Bryan, is open here.
Officials said this year’s charitable beneficiary has not yet been selected.
