Residents of Barkley Plantation had the opportunity to celebrate and visit with family and friends Friday afternoon during an outdoor party.
Owner Clara Beth Hyde said this was the first time they have been able to host a celebration with visitors since December 2019.
Ashley Reynolds and other family members enjoyed the day with her grandfather, who lives at Barkley Plantation. Reynolds said the facility has been wonderful to work with during the pandemic.
Reynolds added things are getting better as they are now allowed back into the facility to visit.
Reynolds said her family no longer takes the opportunity to visit her grandfather for granted; as COVID-19 has taught them, you may not be able to visit all of the time.
