Night Two of Western Kentucky State Fair Saturday

After a strong first night of the Western Kentucky State Fair, officials are ready for night two.

Fair Board President Tony Meacham told the News Edge 4,569 people attended Friday’s opening night. That number is about 1,100 more than the first night of 2018. Thunderstorms and a tornado in Christian County disrupted the opening night of 2019 with only 1,314 people braving the weather to attend. There was no fair in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Gates will open at 4:00 Saturday, with $25 unlimited armband rides starting at 5:00. The petting zoo will also start at 5:00, and the demolition derby to start at 7:00. The Mrs. and Miss pageants are also slated to take place Saturday evening in the convention center.
