After the first two nights attendance at the Western Kentucky State Fair is up significantly compared to 2018 and 2019.
On Friday night the Western Kentucky State Fair drew 4,569 visitors compared to 3,473 in 2018 and 1,314 in 2019 when the fair kicked off with storms and tornadoes in the area. Saturday night the demolition derby and pageants in the convention center brought in 7,681 visitors compared to 5,142 in 2018 and 4,976 in 2019. After two nights the fair has attracted 12,250 patrons compared to 8,615 in 2018 and 6,290 in 2019.
The fair continues through Saturday, July 3, at the Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds on Richard Street in Hopkinsville.
