Genesis Express will host their annual Summer Reading Program later this month, but those interested must sign up Monday.
President George Radford tells the News Edge the program is for children in the 1st through 6th grades, and they can only accept the first 24 students registered. The free program will be held from July 19-23.
Radford adds they will cover science, technology, engineering, and mathematics standards based on a program through the Discovery Park of America.
During the program, students may also participate in time for exercise and work in the community garden. Radford says they are also planning to conduct a few introductory sports activities during the week-long program.
On Friday, July 23, the week-long program will culminate with a free field trip to the Discovery Park of America in Union City, Tennessee.
Those interested will need to register Monday morning between 9:00 and 11:00 at the Genesis Express Activities Building at 96 Jefferson Street in Cadiz. If you can not make it during the registration event, you can call Radford at (270) 871-1344.
A light breakfast and a sack lunch will be served during the event, provided by Trigg County Public Schools.
