After dealing with smoke and hazy conditions across the region Wednesday and Thursday, hot and humid weather will persist into the weekend.
Weather Edge forecaster David Powell says the heat index could be above 100° at times.
Powell adds the chance for showers and storms has decreased as we head toward the weekend.
