Two men accused of a fatal shooting at a Hopkinsville gas station appeared in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning.
21-year old Dalton Hall, of Springfield, Tennessee, and 26-year old David King, of Guthrie, are facing charges of murder, being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, and tampering with physical evidence. King is also charged with first-degree hindering prosecution/apprehension.
King appeared virtually from the Christian County Jail and waived his arraignment before Chief Circuit Judge John Atkins, with Hall also appearing virtually from the jail for a pretrial conference. Judge Atkins scheduled a pretrial conference on September 1st for both suspects.
The charges stem from April 10th when Hopkinsville police say the two men shot 31-year old Delmour Moncrief in the stomach at the Valero gas station. Moncrief was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. Hall and King fled the gas station after the shooting. Hall was arrested a few days later in Alabama while King was taken into custody in Todd County on July 16th.
