A wreck on East 9th Street in Hopkinsville sent a woman and child to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say a westbound SUV hit a van in front of it pushing it into a car and the car into another SUV.
The driver of the first SUV reportedly told police her brakes had malfunctioned causing the crash.
The driver and passenger of the car were taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened just before 5 pm.
