Helping Hands Back To School Drive Raises Over $9,000

The Helping Hands Back to School Drive raised more than $9,000 Thursday to help purchase back to school supplies for Trigg County Students. The drive took place at Hancock’s Neighborhood Market in Cadiz.

Donations came in from several community members and organizations. Among those coming through for the drive was the Brice Long Back to Back Foundation, with Brent and Julie Gilkey presenting a $5,000 check.

At the end of the drive the total stood at $9,110.

Helping Hands Co-chair K.G. Ariagno says they already have sixty children on the back to school shopping list. The organization spends about $50 on each child that has requested help. Contact Ariagno by calling 270-522-5615 by the end of the day on Monday to get on the back to school shopping list.
