A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting a police officer and his own son Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to Broad Street in reference to a disturbance and located 36-year-old Tarvous Haskins who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
He reportedly resisted arrest and punched a police officer in the head before being tased.
During the investigation, it was reportedly found that Haskins had assaulted his own son. He is charged with third-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, resisting arrest, tampering with physical evidence, menacing, and possession of marijuana.
