Trigg County has added 83 news cases of COVID-19 in the past week with the number of active cases sitting at 92 as of Thursday morning according to the Pennyrile District Health Department.
Of the 92 active cases, three are hospitalized with one of those occurring in the past week.
53-percent of the 83 cases added in the past week involve people between 19 and 49 years old. 16 of the cases or 19-percent are 18 and under.
The health department does not disclose the vaccination status of the positive cases they report.
To date, 1,520 people in Trigg County have contracted COVID-19 which is five fewer than Caldwell County and 175 fewer than Lyon County.
