A long-term care facility in Todd County has temporarily halted visitation due to COVID-19.
Officials with Hearthstone Place Long Term Care made the announcement Monday that they will temporarily stop allowing any visitation due to the high numbers of COVID in Todd County and surrounding counties as well as the recent positive tests of two residents.
Officials at the facility stated contact tracing has determined the source of the COVID to be visitors that unknowingly had the virus and showed no signs or symptoms at the time of their visit. They said these visitors were diligent in reporting their diagnosis as soon as they were aware which allowed the long-term care facility to respond quickly and protect other residents.
Officials said the safety and well-being of residents at Hearthstone is always their number one concern and they appreciate everyone’s continued cooperation.
