A wreck on Kentucky 274 in Lyon County sent a Cadiz woman to the hospital Sunday morning.
Lyon County Sheriff Brent White says 33-year-old Tiffany Barbre was southbound 8 miles from Eddyville when she failed to navigate a curve ran off the road and hit a tree then went down a 35-foot embankment causing the vehicle to overturn.
Barbre was trapped in her vehicle and had to be extricated by the Eddyville Fire Department and Lyon County EMS.
She was transported by ambulance to Lourdes Hospital in Paducah for injuries.
White says OnStar’s Automatic Crash Response system helped first responders locate Barbre, adding her vehicle was not visible from the roadway and she was unable to call for help.
