A man was severely injured in a shooting on East 1st Street near the intersection of North Vine Street Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say a man was shot just before 1 pm and suffered injuries to his neck and head.
The man was rushed to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to meet with a waiting helicopter to transfer him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Authorities say the man’s injuries are believed to be severe.
East 1st Street will remain blocked as law enforcement investigates the shooting. The man’s name along with a description of the suspect has not been released.
