Fall Colors Beginning To Show In Western Kentucky

We are now entering one of the most beautiful periods of our fall season with the appearance of colorful fall foliage.

Every October, Kentucky breaks into reds, oranges, and yellows as Mother Nature prepares for winter. The state’s vast expanses of forested terrain make it one of the best places in the country to enjoy nature’s spectacular display of fall color. One of the great things about living in western Kentucky is that you don’t have to travel very far to see some of the most stunning autumn scenes around. Across its incredible 170,000 acres, the Land Between the Lakes National Recreational Area is famous for its fall foliage displays. Emily Cleaver is the Public Affairs Specialist with the U.S. Forestry Service at LBL and says the colors are now starting to show.
