Another pair of incumbents filed for re-election in Trigg County Thursday afternoon, when Property Value Administrator Lauren Fowler and District 4 County Magistrate Jeff Broadbent joined the fray for 2022.
Sworn in by Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander in early December of 2018, Fowler served as Trigg County’s first-ever woman to hold the PVA position — beating Tammy Groves and James Kyler in the May 2018 primary.
A Republican, Fowler was set to face up against her former boss in Mike Bryan during that November general election, but Bryan dropped out of the race that late August and retired from the office before Election Day.
Fowler has worked in the PVA office for 11 years. She says the PVA website has seen a huge increase in traffic since the pandemic with people able to pay online and access their records online.
Broadbent, a Democrat, was challenged by both Thaddeus “Jock” Bingham and Dale Henderson in the 2018 Democratic Primary before winning another term that following November.
