A wreck on Pennyrile Parkway in Crofton sent a Richland, Indiana, man to the hospital Tuesday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say Jeffrey Barnes was northbound when he fell asleep causing his tractor-trailer to run off the road, hit an embankment and overturn.
The steering wheel had to be cut to remove Barnes from the vehicle through the windshield. He was then taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for injuries.
The crash happened a mile north of the Crofton exit just after 5 am.
