Traffic Stop Leads To Stolen Firearm

A traffic stop on Glass Avenue in Hopkinsville led to drugs and a stolen firearm Monday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say Jacobie Penman was stopped for not wearing a seatbelt.

During the stop, he was reportedly found to be in possession of a handgun that had been reported stolen out of Hopkinsville and a marijuana cigarette.

He was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana, and receiving stolen property.
