Two incumbents on Cadiz City Council have become the first candidates to file for the position in the non-partisan race that is still 51 weeks away.
Brenda Price and Susie Hendricks filed to run for another term Friday. The top six vote-getters in the race are elected to the city council.
The deadline to file for Cadiz city council is June 7.
Meanwhile, Barry Littlejohn has filed to seek another seat on Trigg Fiscal Court from District 2. Littlejohn is a registered Republican.
The deadline to file for partisan races in next May's primary election is January 7.
