Terry Bowman has filed to run for another term on Christian County Fiscal Court making him the seventh incumbent to enter the May primary election.
Bowman, a Democrat who represents District 8, is the second-longest serving member of the fiscal court behind only Mark Cansler of District 3. Bowman was first elected to the fiscal court in 2006.
John Bruce has filed to run in the Republican primary next May with the winners to square off in the November general election.
The only fiscal court magistrate to not file to seek another term is Jerry Gilliam from District 7, who is running for Christian County Judge-executive.
The deadline to file to run in the primary election is January 7.
