A Hopkinsville woman was charged with theft of identity after law enforcement went to her apartment due to outstanding warrants Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they went to an apartment on Hazel Street looking for 53-year-old Andrea Mack for two outstanding warrants for failure to pay.
As they talked with her, she reportedly gave them someone else’s name and social security number then denied the vehicle parked out front of the apartment registered to her.
After further investigation, she provided the correct social security number and she was arrested and charged with theft of identity.
