A Tennessee man charged in connection to an October stabbing in Hopkinsville was indicted by the Christian County Grand Jury Friday.
43-year old Tremayne Terrell Welch of Indian Mound was indicted on a first-degree assault charge. The charge stems from October 18 when Hopkinsville police reported Welch stabbed another man multiple times at the Manhatten Motel on South Main Street. The victim was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center then later transferred to a hospital in Nashville for treatment of injuries.
The grand jury also indicted 43-year old Catherine Lee of Indian Mound, Tennessee on a charge of second-degree assault. According to the indictment, Lee intentionally or wantonly caused physical injury to an individual by means of a dangerous instrument on June 19.
30-year old Michael N. Ault, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, resisting arrest and second-degree disorderly conduct. The charges are from October 29th when police reported Ault was walking on the side of Fort Campbell Boulevard and, for an unknown reason, fired two shots at a vehicle.
And 36-year old Sehgarra Altantis Alexander of Clarksville, Tennessee was indicted on a charge of first-degree criminal abuse of a child under 12-years old. The indictment alleges on June 12 Alexander intentionally abused a minor child under the age of twelve by placing him in a situation that may cause serious physical injury, or by causing torture or cruel punishment, or by allowing the minor to be abused.
