A Hopkinsville man was charged with trafficking marijuana and possession of meth after an investigation on Elton Drive in Hopkinsville Friday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the home for a report of a juvenile problem and as 46-year-old David Vance was explaining the problem to officers they could see multiple people walking around inside the home.
When officers reportedly told Vance to have everyone come outside he went inside and returned saying no one wanted to come outside.
Police say Vance was told by officers to yell into the home and have everyone come outside and one person did and told officers Vance told him not to come out.
A second person was reportedly found by police hiding in the attic. Police say after getting a search warrant for the home marijuana, a scale, and small plastic baggies were found inside the home.
Vance was arrested and allegedly found to have a bag of meth in his pocket before he was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to be medically cleared before being transported to jail.
While at the hospital he kept moving around in the hospital bed and after checking the bed police say a bag of meth was found.
Vance is charged with tampering with physical evidence, possession of meth, trafficking marijuana, and second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension.
A second person at the home 27-year-old Dustin Rosario of Hopkinsville was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was reportedly found inside a shed with a glass pipe.
