President Surveys Western Kentucky Storm Damage Wednesday

After landing at Fort Campbell this morning, President Joe Biden is surveying tornado damage across the region this afternoon.

Immediately after arriving at Fort Campbell, President Biden got off Air Force One and boarded Marine One to travel to Mayfield. While in Mayfield, the President received a briefing from local leaders on the impact of the tornadoes and extreme weather. He is also scheduled to tour a neighborhood in Mayfield, before heading to the Princeton-Caldwell County airport. From there, President Biden will travel to Dawson Springs where he will meet with officials, tour a neighborhood in Dawson Springs, and deliver remarks around 3:00 about the Administration’s response to the extreme tornadoes and weather.

Officials are asking drivers to avoid U.S. 62 due to expected traffic congestion during President Biden’s visit.

President Biden is scheduled to depart Fort Campbell shortly before 5:00.
