Former Danville Football Coach Feeding 1,000 In Princeton Saturday

A friend and former assistant football coach under Marty Jaggers is bound for Princeton Church of Christ Saturday morning — with his family, church associates and plans to feed 1,000 hot barbecue meals to those in need following the December 10 and 11 tornadoes in west Kentucky.

Vaughn Little, a senior principal at the Jefferson County Public Schools and greater Lexington area, announced through social media he’s bringing his girls, his niece, some friends from Danville and his church brothers from the North Lexington Church of Christ and Glen Arvin Church of Christ to assist with relief efforts.

They’ll be leaving the Lexington area around 4:30 a.m. CST Saturday, and will arrive in Princeton ready to cook for the rest of the day.

Jaggers and Little were on staff together at Danville High School in the early 2000s, and Jaggers said he reached out to an old, good friend on Friday headed this way — as Jaggers has deep, familial and professional ties to both Trigg and Caldwell counties.

Jaggers also noted that Princeton councilwoman Pat George has a tangential connection to Little, as her son — T. Chris George, the director of TRiO Student Support Services at Western Kentucky University — is good friends with Little.

The best part, Jaggers added, other than the continued outpouring of support to west Kentucky and those families in need, is that Little can cook quite well.

Princeton Church of Christ is located at 703 South Jefferson Street.
