A Hopkinsville man was charged after he allegedly fired a gun on Bryan Street in Hopkinsville Friday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for a report of a shot fired in the area and after further investigation, they went to the apartment of 59-year-old Jerry Moman.
He reportedly attempted to discard the firearm that was in his possession when police arrived. Police say the serial numbers had been defaced on the firearm and it had been reported stolen.
Moman allegedly fired his gun in a neighborhood with occupied homes all around him.
After a search of his apartment police say bags of marijuana and a pipe were found inside. No one was injured and no damage to any property was found.
Moman was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, receiving stolen property, possession of a defaced firearm, tampering with physical evidence, trafficking marijuana, and trafficking synthetic drugs.
