A building on East 25th Street in Hopkinsville was badly damaged in a fire Sunday night.
Hopkinsville Firefighters say a large amount of flames and smoke were coming from the vacant building on East 25th Street at the intersection of Walnut Street when they arrived
The cause of the fire was unknown.
Firefighters say the smaller building was badly damaged but a firewall between it and the larger building was able to keep the fire from spreading.
East 25th Street was blocked for several hours as firefighters worked to extinguish the fire. The fire was reported to authorities just before 10 pm.
