Hopkins County Overwhelmed With Physical Donation

Hopkins County Judge-executive Jack Whitfield

Overwhelmed from the outpouring of support and donations, Hopkins County officials noted Monday that they’re running out of physical space.

Judge-Executive Jack Whitfield Jr. said his communities have enough supplies for the duration of this event and rebuild, there aren’t enough roofs to house these incoming supplies.

He said if the community begins to notice a specific need, it will be noted.

In the stead, Whitfield said financial donations and gift cards would still be accepted at this time, and those looking to support the affected areas are asked to donate to the following organizations, send gift cards to the Government Center in Madisonville, Kentucky at 56 N. Main Street in Madisonville, KY, 42431.

You can donate at:

1) The Independence Bank, Madisonville location through www.1776bank.com,

2) The Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund through secure.kentucky.gov,

3) The Western Kentucky Red Cross at www.redcross.org,

Or 4) The Kentucky United Way at www.uwky.org.
