Pembroke Elementary Classes to Resume Monday

Pembroke Elementary School will return to class on Monday after last month’s tornado caused extensive roof and water damage to the building.

Superintendent Chris Bentzel said the school has been repaired and reconstituted in order to reopen Monday.

In addition, Bentzel said high school students scheduled to take the ACT test on Saturday at Hopkinsville High School and Christian County High School will receive a new testing date directly from the ACT people. Snow and ice closed schools in Christian County Thursday and Friday.

The school system said in a Sunday media release that last week’s high school midterms and finals will be rescheduled and district schools will communicate the revised exam schedules to their respective students.
