The United Way of the Pennyrile has postponed Thursday’s campaign celebration due to the surge in COVID-19 cases in the area.
Betsy Bond, executive director of the United Way, said they plan to reschedule the event for a time when everyone can get together comfortably and celebrate.
Last year, the United Way kicked off its fundraising campaign with a goal of $750,000.
Bond added they still have a few campaigns that have not been completed so a campaign total has not been announced yet.
