The Christian County Coroner’s Office has released the name of a man killed in a wreck on Dawson Springs Road at the intersection of Doug Combs Road Thursday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a car was northbound when it ran off the road hitting a trash can and a mailbox before overturning and coming to a rest in a tree line.
A passenger in the car, 19-year-old Dylan Sargent of Christian County, was reportedly trapped under the vehicle and died as emergency personnel worked to free him.
A female in the vehicle was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with injuries from the crash. The driver was not injured in the wreck.
Sargent had just moved to Christian County from Asheville, North Carolina.
Dawson Springs Road was blocked for several hours after the 10 pm crash. Police are continuing to investigate.
