A Cadiz man was charged with assaulting the mother of his child on Dean Road in Cadiz Wednesday afternoon.
Cadiz Police say 22-year-old Frank Stott hit the mother of his child in the mouth then used both hands to choke her during an altercation.
He was located on Main Street and charged with first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
