Details have been released in a high-speed pursuit that started in Cheatham County, Tennessee, and ended in Christian County Monday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say the Pleasant View Police Department was in pursuit of a truck driven by 42-year-old Marquis Tanner of Clarksville that they had attempted to stop for speeding on Interstate 24.
The pursuit crossed into Kentucky then Tanner exited onto Fort Campbell Boulevard. The pursuit reportedly came to an end when Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Myers used spike strips to deflate the tires on the truck ending the pursuit near the Eagle Way intersection.
A female was also in the vehicle but her name and a list of charges have not been released.
Tanner and the woman were both taken into custody. Tanner was charged with speeding, first-degree fleeing or evading police, operating on a suspended or revoked license, and possession of marijuana.
