A Hopkinsville man was indicted Friday by the Christian County Grand Jury in connection to a fatal shooting on Richard Street last month.
44-year old Daron Darnell Bell was indicted on a charge of murder in the death of 36-year old Gregory Burse.
Hopkinsville Police reported Bell shot Burse in the chest inside a home on Richard Street around 1:00 the morning of February 2. Burse was found unresponsive and taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and later died from his injuries.
According to police, Bell was named as a person of interest in the case and after interviewing him at the police headquarters he reportedly admitted to detectives that he had shot Burse.
Bell is lodged in the Christian County Jail.
