Train Stops Just Before Hitting Disabled Vehicle In Trenton

A woman is safe after her vehicle became stuck on the railroad tracks in Trenton Sunday night.

Trenton Fire Chief John Stahl says the woman mistakenly drove about 50 yards south down the tracks from 4th Street and got her vehicle stuck on the tracks.

She reportedly got out of the vehicle and was found 30 feet away and was very cold.

Stahl says they notified CSX and they were able to stop a southbound train just under half a mile away from the vehicle.

The woman was treated at the scene by an ambulance.
