Two Charged, Third Person Wanted In Connection To Hopkinsville Murder

A man and woman have been charged Tuesday in connection to a man that was found dead after a shooting on Jones Street near the intersection of Sharpe Street on October 26th.

Hopkinsville Police say 25-year-old Cortez Hairston Jr. of Hopkinsville shot 23-year-old Adrian Acree multiple times in the middle of the road and fled the area before police arrived.

Police say they were called around 1 am on October 26th for a report of a man that had been assaulted and located Acree’s body in the roadway.

24-year-old Jaila Sherrod and 23-year-old Dekorian Daniel both of Hopkinsville reportedly helped plan the murder. Sherrod and Daniel were both charged with complicity to murder Tuesday afternoon.

Hairston has not been located but Police say he has active warrants for murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Police ask if you have any information on Hairston’s whereabouts to call the Hopkinsville Christian County dispatch at 270-890-1300.
