A Hopkinsville man wanted in connection to a robbery on North Main Street in Hopkinsville on March 17th was taken into custody Friday.
Hopkinsville Police say 26-year-old Ronald Aldridge robbed the Marathon gas station at gunpoint then got into someone’s vehicle outside the business and pointed a gun at the owner and demanded him to drive.
The owner of the vehicle reportedly got into a fight with Aldridge and was able to take the gun from him and a shot was fired.
During the fight, police say the driver and Aldridge fell out of the vehicle causing the vehicle to roll down the roadway with no driver before coming to a stop.
Police say Aldridge then fled the area on foot leaving the gun.
Aldridge was located Friday in Florida and arrested on warrants for first-degree robbery and kidnapping in connection to the robbery in Hopkinsville.
