Law enforcement officials are investigating what are believed to be human bones found in a wooded area off of Big Pond Road in Todd County Wednesday morning.
Kentucky State Police say someone hunting in the area located the bones. Police say it is early in the investigation and they are working to get cadaver dogs and possibly some more people to help in searching the area.
The area will continue to be blocked off for several hours.
Police say it’s unknown how long the bones have been there but they are talking to all local law enforcement agencies about missing person reports.
Big Pond Road runs between Clarksville Road in Kentucky and Suiter Road in Tennessee.
