A Hopkinsville man was charged with DUI and possession of drugs after a traffic stop on East 9th Street in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 36-year-old Kevin Pollard was stopped for failing to yield the right away of another vehicle and during the stop admitted his license was suspended due to a prior DUI conviction.
After a search of his vehicle, marijuana, suspected crack cocaine, a beer, and an open bottle of whiskey were reportedly found.
Police say while at the hospital to get a blood test Pollard removed a small bag of marijuana from his pants and gave it to the officer.
He was arrested and charged with DUI second offense, tampering with physical evidence, failure to yield the right away, driving on a DUI suspended license, possession of cocaine, failure to maintain required insurance, and possession of marijuana.
