Two men have been charged after a traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville led to a short foot pursuit Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a car for speeding after it passed them near the intersection of Skyline Drive and the driver Quinnton Thomas of Hopkinsville turned onto East 21st Street before coming to a stop.
The passenger Arsenio Rhodes of Nashville then reportedly got out of the vehicle and fled on foot but was located a short distance away. Police say Rhodes was found to be a convicted felon and in possession of a firearm.
Rhodes is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, trafficking in marijuana under 8oz (firearm enhanced), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and using restricted ammo in the commission of a felony (no shots).
Thomas is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, speeding 10 over, and instructional permit violation.
